AI Security Ops - Why Did We Create This Podcast? | Podcast Trailer

Joff Thyer:

Hello, and welcome to AI SecurityOps, your go to source for exploring the intersection of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. AI SecurityOps is brought to you by Black Hills Information Security. Why did we create this podcast? Well, we started this show because AI is transforming security operations, and with that comes new challenges, opportunities, and questions. In fact, not only is AI transforming security operations, AI is transforming the entire business of cybersecurity amongst many other things in our lives.

Joff Thyer:

So our mission here is to help you stay informed, prepared, and ahead of the curve. In every episode of AI Security Ops, we dive into various things, and I wonder if my illustrious cohost would help me out with this. What is one of the things that we dive into, doctor Furman?

Brian Fehrman:

One of the things we like to hit is AI related news because there's certainly a lot of that that comes out, these days that you can find. Probably shows up in your news feed already even if you aren't searching for it. So in some of our episodes, we will go over the latest news and give our insight into it. So you can kind of separate out the, fact fiction, then the hype from reality.

Joff Thyer:

There's always a lot of fun out there. Right? Bronwyn, tell us about what else you'll find in our episodes.

Bronwen Aker:

We make a real strong effort to take and answer questions from the community. We get questions a lot of different ways. Our our Discord community is very strong, and and we love to interact with them. So we'll take those questions. And these are real world scenarios.

Bronwen Aker:

So what we know, we like to share with you, again, cutting through that that FUD, that fear, uncertainty, and doubt, the hype. There's so much of it out there. And if you need real, practicable answers about what things are or how to accomplish things using AI or how to avoid certain things using AI, let us know. We'll be happy to help.

Joff Thyer:

Excellent. Thank you so much. Derek Banks, what else will you find in our episodes?

Derek Banks:

Some of my favorite episodes that we do are the special guests and industry leaders. We've had some awesome guests on in the past and some really interesting content from those episodes and we'll have more of those in the future. And so you can come for the special guests and stay for the AI hot takes.

Joff Thyer:

Wonderful. And finally, other things that you will find on this show is some demos and some how to videos, some practical tips about different AI ideas or methodologies that you might wanna consider applying. Sometimes we just dive into a tool and just have a little bit of fun for a while and and talk about it, what it can do, maybe what the risks are, you know, things like that. So I hope you'll join us in the podcast to experience some of those demos and how tos. If you're curious about AI and you work in cybersecurity, you just wanna understand how these worlds collide, this podcast is definitely for you.

Joff Thyer:

Right? If you love learning, you wanna stay ahead in the technology, I would really encourage that you subscribe to the channel and join the conversation. You can listen to us on all your favorite podcast platforms and certainly right here on YouTube. So, we're all, cybersecurity folks from the Black Hills information security team, and we're excited to share the knowledge. So please hit subscribe, turn on notifications, and let us enjoy some AI ops together.

Joff Thyer:

Thanks for listening.
